46th Annual AWGIE Awards: Updated Entry Criteria & Monte Miller Deadline Extended

30 April, 2013

Updated Entry Criteria For Interactive Media & Monte Miller Award Co-written Entries

Interactive Media

The criteria has been re-written to specifically define requirements for all types of Interactive Media entries including:
  • Computer games
  • Interactive web projects
  • Interactive graphic novels
  • Augmented reality experiences
  • Smartphone and tablet-based apps
  • Interactive fiction
And any other interactive digital medium.

Monte Miller Awards

Co-written Entries: The criteria now states that if a script is co-written then it may be entered by any one of the Associate co-writers who has not already submitted an entry in that category.

The result is that an Associate writer may have an entry in a Monte Miller category under their own name, and another co-written entry which has been entered by that script's other Associate co-writer. In all cases, no individually written or collaboratively written script can be entered more than once in any Monte Miller category.

As a result, the Monte Miller entry deadline has been extended until 10 May 2013 (postmarked date).

The revised criteria for both categories are outlined in full here and the online entry form has been updated.
