Judges announced for final Pitch Royale competition at the 2019 Australian International Screen Forum

The Australian International Screen Forum and Australia’s Scripted Ink and Pathways Showcase have announced the judges that are participating in the inaugural Pitch Royale competition as part of the 2019 industry events at Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center at Film Society of Lincoln Center from March 20-22. 

Judges for final round include Baz Lurhmann and Catherine Martin (The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge!), Shane Brennan (NCIS: Los Angeles) and Jason Blum (Get Out, Blackkklansman). These high-profile industry leaders, behind some of film and television’s biggest hits, will assess the final selection of pitches after they have advanced through two other rounds.

Round 1 and 2 judges include:

Round 1: Greer Simpkin (Producer, Bunya Productions), Deirdre Brennan (General Manager, NBCU Kids)Krysanne Katsoolis (CEO and President Viewpark LLC).

Round 2: Jenny Halper (Head of Development and Production, Maven Pictures), Todd Labarowski (Producer, The Kids Are AlrightBernie,The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby), Schuyler Weiss (Producer, PiercingGhost Teamand GM Baz & Co

Participants in the Pitch Royale competition must be industry delegates at the 2019 Forum. Pitches can be for feature or episodic series. 

Interested individuals need to either register for a 3-Day or 1-Day pass in order to be eligible. All pitch applicants will be contacted by March 14 with further instructions.

The pitching competition, which was developed in association with Baz Lurhmann and Catherine Martin, is designed to be an interactive and practical exercise that offers delegates an opportunity to test pitching skills in front of a live industry audience.
