Australia's queen of comedy (and the jungle!) Fiona O'Loughlin will host the 51st Annual AWGIE Awards next Thursday 30 August 2018, with the night shaping up to be spectacular celebration of Australian stage and screen writing, recognising the outstanding achievements of Australian storytellers over the past year.
'I’m thrilled to be hosting this year’s Australian Writers’ Guild AWGIE Awards at the gorgeous City Recital Hall,' said O'Loughlin.
'This event celebrates something I’m passionate about, Australian storytelling. It’s a night where storytellers are recognised and rewarded and I couldn’t be more delighted to be part of it! It’s going to be a fun night.'
With a massive following both in Australia and overseas, O'Loughlin fearlessly presents unvarnished hilarious honesty, and for one night only will dazzle the AWGIE Awards room with her wit and charm – and her masterful art of storytelling.
Tasked with keeping the night short and the jokes sharp – and getting everyone to the post-Award feast as quick as possible – with Fiona at the helm the night promises to be one AWGIE Awards you don't want to miss!
