RMIT is seeking five male and five female emerging screenwriters, and five male and five female early-career screenwriters to participate in an interview-based research project, ‘Training Australian Screenwriters: craft traditions, industrial realities and development opportunities’.The research‘Training Australian Screenwriters: craft traditions, industrial realities and development opportunities’ aims to identify the educational, training and creative development needs of Australian screenwriters. The results will be used to develop curriculum in RMIT’s professional writing programs, and will be referred to in journal publications and conference papers.Participant detailsFor the purposes of the research:An ‘emerging screenwriter’ is someone who has:The Australian Writers’ Guild acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future traditional custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
