AWG welcomes Event Cinemas as a major sponsor for 51st Annual AWGIE Awards

The Australian Writers’ Guild is thrilled to announce Event Cinemas, Australia’s most iconic and enduring cinema chain, as a major sponsor for the 51st Annual AWGIE Awards. 

A passionate champion of cinema and stories, this is the first time Event Cinemas has been involved in the Annual AWGIE Awards, which celebrate and reward the very best of Australian screen and stage writers.

The AWGIE Awards will be presented on Thursday 30 August 2018 at the City Recital Hall in Sydney. Awards will be presented across 18 individual categories including feature film, television, documentary, theatre, radio, animation and interactive media, with a new theatre-style format promising a shorter, sharper and more spectacular evening.
