AWG WA Event - In Conversation with Michael Werner - Fortissimo Films

8 March, 2010

In the frontline of the international film business, the work of a sales agent is frequently seen as one of the most valuable roles; involved in everything from helping to get a film financed to advising on casting, bringing the film to the marketplace and getting it seen. Because of their role selling films at all the international film markets and festivals and their constant engagement with filmmakers and distributors, sales agents can also be a valuable resource in assessing the current state of the market, identifying trends and knowing how to capitalise on them.

International sales agent Michael Werner from Fortissimo Films will be in Perth on Thursday March 11 for a conversation about the current state of the international film marketplace covering topics like pre-sales, festival strategies and how to make the most of being an Australian filmmaker. After a moderated conversation, Michael will be available to answer questions and will briefly be available for one-on-one chats after the event.
