It’s time to polish off those final drafts and put your best script forward as the Australian Writers’ Guild’s 2020 Monte Miller Awards are officially open for entries! Dedicated to uncovering the hottest new scripts and writing talent across Australia, the Monte Miller Awards are a purpose-built and industry-recognised opportunity for AWG Associate and Student members to have their work showcased directly to industry decision-makers.
Categories are open to screen and stage writers with an unproduced script of any genre or format, including film, television, theatre and interactive media. The winning writers and scripts will be made eligible for AWG's prestigious Pathways Showcase.
As 2020 continues to be an uncertain time for all, we are waiving the entry fee for all members wishing to enter the Monte Miller Awards. Furthermore, AWG Student members are now eligible to enter the Monte Miller Awards without upgrading to Associate membership.
The 2020 Monte Miller Awards open Friday 23 October 2020 and will close 5pm Monday 23 November 2020 (AEDT).
