Got an idea for a short film? In this short intensive course - 3 sessions over 3 weeks - you will work with a group of writers to take your story concept from seed to script. You will learn how to plot out your story develop characters and write your first draft.Under the guidance of David Vincent Smith whose last short We Were Here won best short at the WA Screen Awards 2016 each session will take you one step further in the creative process. Deliver final drafts by 14 December and David will also provide individualised Script Editor’s notes to each participant! David Vincent Smith has spent years experimenting with narrative to hone his craft by writing directing shooting & editing everything from music videos across Australia to an Opera project in Brooklyn. David’s just returned from Serbia after spending 3 months as the Director’s attachment on Ben Young’s latest feature film with Universal Studios Extinction.
