Want to bounce ideas about next steps you could take in your career?

Want advice on approaching an agent?

Want help with dealing with rejection?

Struggling with the blank page?

After a highly successful and hugely fun speed mentoring event last year, we’re creating another opportunity for a limited number of Associate and Full Members to have a couple of speed dating style meetings with their more experienced colleagues. This professional development event will help you connect with potential mentors right across the industry. Anything is up for grabs – but we ask that you don’t pitch specific projects or ask for jobs. This is speed-mentoring rather than speed-pitching.

We have some of NSW's most inspiring and experienced film, television and stage writers and industry professionals to mentor you: Gina Schien, Sarah Smith, Josephine Barrett, Hilary Bell, Phil Lloyd, Louise Bowes, Hamilton Budd, Brooke Wilson, Sandy Webster, Kristen Dunphy, Nick King, Fiona Kelly and Shay Spencer.

You will be randomly paired for two conversations and while you’re not in a one-on-one, you can mingle with colleagues at the bar.

When: Tuesday 13 August 6.30 pm for 7 pm start.

Where: Knox St Bar, 21 Shepherd St, Chippendale

Cost: $10

This is a members-only event. Each attendee will require valid membership to proceed.

Bookings are essential.
