KODIE BEDFORD

Kodie was born in Geraldton, Western Australia, with strong family ties to East Kimberley. Her best memories consist of her listening to her family spin yarns recounting town legends, family feats and spilling the odd secret. It was solid training for storytelling and, after watching an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she decided that she wanted to be a screenwriter.

Kodie moved over to Sydney to work as a cadet journalist for SBS in 2008 for Indigenous current affairs program Living Black. Kodie then worked at the ABC as a researcher producer for documentary series Message Stick. Never forgetting her dream of wanting to be a screenwriter, Kodie made the jump to television drama where her credits include Mystery Road (ABC), Summer Love (ABC), Firebite (AMC+) and All My Friends are Racist (ABC). Kodie received the 2019 Balnaves Fellowship to develop her own play with Belvoir Theatre, Cursed!, which was staged for the Belvoir 2020 season and won both best stage play and the major award at the 2021 Australian Writers' Guild Awards.

ROMINA ACCURSO

Romina is a multi-AWGIE nominated screenwriter and script producer. After starting her career on Home & Away in multiple roles, Romina has gone on to write for several shows including Class of 07 (Matchbox/NBCU), Spreadsheet (Paramount +) and After the Verdict (Channel 9). She was core writer and script producer on the second season of The Heights (ABC) and most recently script produced and wrote on the yet to be released Netflix ANZ original Wellmania

THOMAS WILSON-WHITE

Thomas is an award-winning director and screenwriter. He wrote the highly anticipated Heartbreak High reboot for Netflix which was #1 in Australia and top 10 in 45 countries within its first week. He is currently writing a show for Paramount+, the Rock Eisteddfod Film for Aquarius Films and his second feature film Wildflowers with the support of Screen Australia and script editor Anna Seifert-Speck (Ammonite, Supernova, Gods Own Country). His debut feature film The Greenhouse premiered in 2021 at BFI: Flare, Frameline45, Mardi Gras Film Festival and played at over 30 other festivals. It won Best Direction in a Feature Film (budget under $1M) at the 2021 Australian Directors Guild awards and was acquired by Netflix ANZ.

TIM LEE

Timothy Lee has worked on some of Australia’s most successful TV shows, including Mystery Road: Origin, Bump, Mystery Road and Doctor Doctor, amongst others. He has worked as a Script Producer, Script Editor and Writer across drama, dramedy and Children’s TV. His first job out of film school was writing on cult classic computer game L.A. Noire. He graduated from the AFTRS with a Masters in Drama (Writing) in 2007, and from Sydney University with a BA (Hons) in Religious Studies in 2001.
