Run as collaboration between the Australian Directors’ Guild and the Australian Writers’ Guild, our next event will bring together writers and directors.

Each writer attending will have the opportunity to meet with three directors.

Here’s how it will work. Fourteen directors will talk briefly about themselves and their work. Then writers will sit down with three of the directors for short, speed-dating style meetings. These meetings will be scheduled in advance by our AWG match-maker, Chris Anastassiades – who will aim to bring together like-minded collaborators based on their responses to various questions. After the meetings we will all gather around the bar – where you will have the opportunity to meet other writers and directors.

This event is only available to full, associate or student members of the AWG. You will need to provide your member number to book through the website.

Numbers are strictly limited to 42 writers. This event will sell out quickly.

When: Tuesday 19 November 2019, 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start.

Where: Upstairs, The Golden Gate Hotel, 238 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne.

There is no charge for the event.
