Peter Mattessi has worked as a writer for TV serials in Australia (Neighbours Home and Away) and the UK (Eastenders Holby City). Find out about the mechanics of writing long form TV drama and the different processes involved in Australia compared with the UK. How does the writer’s role and status compare?Join us at the German Club 223 Flinders St City – home of The GC for the Adelaide Fringe 2017 from 6.30pm to grab a drink and a bite to eat! ***Peter spent most of his professional life writing television drama. In the UK he writes for Eastenders and Holby City. He was Senior Script Editor at Eastenders for many years wrote for Waterloo Road and was Script Producer for Eastenders’ teen-based spinoff Eastenders: E20. He also has a number of original projects in development. In Australia he has written for all Home and AwayOut of the Blue and is currently writing for Neighbours. Peter has written children’s shows Worst Year of my Life Again and Specky Magee
