AWG VICTORIA: WRITERS TALKING TO WRITERS ABOUT THINGS WRITERS DON’T TALK ABOUT…

PROCRASTINATION

According to Phoebe Waller-Bridge “writing is 90 percent procrastination”, and while we spend a lot of time talking about writing we never seem to get around to talking about procrastination.

In this flameless fireside chat over cocktails and chapatis, Mark O’Toole interrogates acclaimed and seriously productive writers John Safran, Catherine Smyth-McMullen and Peter Mattessi on their relationships with “the grave in which opportunity is buried” - the lengths they’ve gone to avoid it, the moments they’ve stared it down and won, and how they’ve each come, in their own ways, to live with it.
